Gary Nelson and Miguel "MAMBO" DeLeon have been collaborating together since the mid-80's with Al Pearson in being firsts of bringing true-hard core Salsa to the Kansas City-Midwest area with Sensacion Caribe, Mambo-X, and the Miguel MAMBO Latin Jazz Combo. Gary has been in the Latin Scene since the early 70's. Composer, Arranger, with a guitar/piano ability unbound. Gary is well traveled from Europe, the Caribbean, Mexico and all over the USA, dazzling crowds with his eclectic guitar sounds, unique piano playing. Also has been on numerous recording with some of KC, and Los Angeles best. But most of all, folks who know Gary Nelson are always on the end of their seats just to hear what Gary "El Professor" Nelson has arranged/composed that range from the solid foundation sounds of the MAMBO, to the highly explosive brass instrument arrangements which leave true music educators with their jaw on the floor.just unbelievable that we are grateful to have this talent among us.
